The CSI for Behavioral Health is a collaborative effort between
the California State University Monterey Bay Social Work Program,
Health Workforce Initiative, and the Greater Bay Area Mental
Health and Education Workforce Collaborative.
The goal of the CSI for Behavioral Health is to engage high
school students in behavioral health services career
exploration. Individuals interested in the behavioral
health occupations train for jobs such as physicians,
psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social workers,
and nurse practitioners. Additionally, the field is
increasingly open to professionals specializing in allied fields
as occupational therapy and information technology. Indeed,
there are dozens of rewarding and stable professional career
paths in behavioral health care to explore.
