WHEN: May 2, 2012

Intended to improve public safety and empower local law enforcement, AB109 made fundamental changes to California’s correctional system by realigning certain responsibilities for lower level offenders, adult parolees and juvenile offenders from state to local jurisdictions.

This webinar will provide an overview of the statutes and rules created under the realignment, impacts on counties and early implementation efforts across the state to carry out the legislation. General provisions for sex offenders being placed on local supervision coming out of state prison and what information and processes are being utilized to determine jurisdiction will be addressed.
