Gender-responsive Assessment and Treatment for Justice-involved Women in Community Supervision

This webinar will present an overview of women in the criminal justice system and pathways to offending among women, followed by a description of the development and research base for the Women’s Risk Needs Assessment tool or WRNA, it’s features and application for effective care planning, and a summary of available treatment approaches that are gender-responsive, including Moving On, Helping Women Recover, Beyond Trauma, Voices, Seeking Safety and others.
The presentation will cite case examples to illustrate the unique needs of justice-involved women, helpful tips for implementing the WRNA in the practice setting, and a resource list for where to obtain the materials presented in this webinar.
