This webinar will feature presentations from two California counties on their models for multi-systems collaboration in the implementation of the AB109 Public Safety Realignment legislation passed in 2011.
The presenters will discuss the conditions that led working more closely together, factors that have contributed to the success of the collaboration, and how mental health practices can support and strengthen Public Safety Realignment efforts. The presenters will reflect the diverse perspectives of the multi-systems partners, including behavioral health, health and human services, and probation. The webinar will feature the award-winning C.R.E.W. project, a re-entry pilot program that employs multiple strategies, including a case manager embedded in probation, mental health and substance use treatment services, housing and food assistance, and education and employment services to prepare clients for the private sector.
