The Napa County Model: Collaboration and the Use of Evidence-based Strategies

This webinar will examine the guiding principles and innovative strategies adopted by Napa County Probation to reduce recidivism and increase successful outcomes, including evidence-based risk assessment, cognitive behavioral interventions, a day reporting center, incentives and other practices to encourage prosocial behavior, and use of consistency and proportionality in the approach to violation decision-making and response.

This webinar will also provide an inside look at collaborative efforts between Napa County Probation and Mental Health for addressing the needs of ex-offenders with mental health issues. Lessons learned and the challenges of implementation will be discussed.
