The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) in collaboration
with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the
California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS)
is presented a two-part Webinar Series to support
implementation efforts and initiatives related to the provision
of Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) for children and
youth.
This online event is was offered in place of the in-person,
regional convenings that were cancelled due to the COVID-19
public emergency.
These webinars are targeted for Short-Term Residential
Therapeutic Programs (STRTP), group home providers that are
transitioning to become STRTPs, and their County Mental
Health/Behavioral Health, Child Welfare and Juvenile Probation
partners.
The two-part series covers topics, including but not limited to,
an overview of Medi-Cal site certification, the mental health
program approval process, and building a trauma-informed milieu.
Provider and county panels representing both Northern and
Southern California regions will share successes, challenges, and
lessons learned.
Who Should Watch the webinars—Representatives
from:
STRTPs and group homes transitioning to STRTPs (e.g.,
Executive Directors, Program Managers/Supervisors, Head of
Service).
County Mental Health/Behavioral Health, Child Welfare and
Juvenile Probation who are or may be involved in aspects related
to the establishment of STRTPs or providing SMHS in STRTPs (e.g.,
Directors, Program Managers/Supervisors, Quality Assurance
Managers).
