California Workforce Association (CWA)

CWA is a nonprofit organization representing the 50 Workforce Investment Boards, over 200 One-Stop Career Centers and other workforce development partners in California. CWA’s mission is to promote, enhance and serve the interests of local workforce development partnerships in California. While many other associations have an interest in workforce development, CWA is the only organization that participates in developing a broad spectrum of workforce development policies. At the state and federal level, CWA represents the voice of the local system to ensure that policy and administrative decisions are made with the full understanding of the implications for implementation. On the local level, CWA works to support and improve regional and community system building through the provision of training, technical assistance and access to a peer network of practitioners around the state.
