The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has
provided funding support for the California Institute for
Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) to release a Request for
Interest (RFI) to seek city and county behavioral health
jurisdictions interested in the implementation of Individual
Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment.
CIBHS will provide start-up technical assistance to four (4)
sites that are in the early planning stages of implementing IPS
with the intention of achieving high fidelity to this model to
improve competitive employment outcomes for persons served.
Preference will be given to small, rural, and frontier
jurisdictions that focus on the following populations:
Transition Age Youth (TAY) age 16 to 25
Persons with an SMI and criminal justice involvement
Persons with an SMI and co-occurring condition
CIBHS is very happy to offer training and technical assistance
start up support for 4 selected BH jurisdictions who are
committed to implementing and scaling up IPS services over time.
DeGette will be managing the RFI selection process and will
oversee the IPS training and technical assistance support
provided to selected counties/cities.
