Amy Faulstich, MSW started with CIBHS on December 3, 2018, as the new Senior Associate/Program Manager for the Greater Bay Area Mental Health Workforce and Education Collaborative.
Amy has over 10 years’ experience developing and implementing programs to improve access to mental health and social services to underserved populations in Marin and Sonoma counties. Amy served as the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Coordinator for the Sonoma County Department of Health Services Behavioral Health Division for 5 years. Amy provided leadership for the planning and development of all MHSA programs and services in Sonoma County, collaborating with community stakeholders, managing contracts and reporting MHSA activities to the Department of Health Care Services. In her role as MHSA Coordinator, Amy also oversaw all Workforce Education and Training (WET) programs and activities for the Sonoma County Behavioral Health Division
Amy was formerly the North Bay Suicide Prevention Project (NBSPP) Coordinator at Family Service Agency (FSA) of Marin, a Division of Buckelew Programs. At FSA of Marin Amy was responsible for the implementation of the North Bay Suicide Prevention Hotline Program to 6 counties and funded by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA).
Amy has a background in community organizing and in mental health. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University with an emphasis in Social Action and Change in 2011. Amy is passionate about the field of behavioral health and is dedicated to workforce development as critical to the future of the profession. She is excited to start her work in this new role and to support communities throughout the Greater Bay Area in their workforce development activities.
