Gayaneh is an Armenian/Iranian/American clinician who is interested in trauma-informed care, evidenced-based practices, individual differences and health care equity. Gayaneh has certification in TFCBT and PCIT. Gayaneh lives with her husband Malcolm, son Miro, and dog, Napoleon in Sacramento California.
DSM-5 training provides an overview of the manual’s major structural changes and reviews its use of developmental approach, biological markers and dimensional assessment. The training focuses on highlighting significant changes from DSM-IV including new classes of child and adult psychiatric disorders, advances in substance-related/addictive disorder diagnoses and the concept of spectrum disorders along with many other topics. Case vignettes are used to demonstrate diagnostic formulations using DSM-5.
TFCBT is a therapy model developed by Drs. Judy Cohen, Tony Mannarino and Esther Deblinger. It is used for children ages 3‐18 who have experienced one or more significant traumatic life events, resulting in PTSD symptoms or functional impairments.
